Bake Off is back with a fresh batch of bakers - and a new judge - all settling into the iconic tent.
Already we are two weeks into The Great British Bake Off’s series 17 return, though just one contestant has left the tent so far. It follows some fiendishly tricky challenges from judges Paul Hollywood and, in her show debut, Nigella Lawson who has already made her mark on the competition.
Joining the likes of Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond, this year’s bakers include a paediatric doctor and a drag king, as well as students, retirees and more.
Following the first two episodes, there have been some surprises - including unfortunate dropped cakes - as well as some delicious creations, spectacular showstoppers and more.
But not everyone can survive.
Here is every 2026 contestant - including who has left the Bake Off tent so far.

1. Gary — Out
Retired garment technologist Gary exited the tent after episode seven, Free From Week. The baker’s performance wasn’t terrible, however with the competition narrowing down his errors couldn’t be disguised. He came second last in the technical, with smaller errors in the signature and showstopper helping send him home. Hollywood commented that he would miss his “doppelganger”. | Channel 4 / Love Productions / Patch Dolan

2. Clara — Out
Bubbly Portuguese baker Clara left Bake Off after struggling through Pastry Week. Despite previously winning Star Baker and ranking highly, the marketing graduate wasn’t able to impress after an inconsistent signature challenge and coming last during the technical, with her showstopper not quite good enough to save her. | Channel 4 / Patch Dolan / Love Productions

3. Yannis — Out
After a rough Bread Week, Yannis made it through to Dessert Week in the Great British Bake Off tent. Unfortunately this was where his journey on the show came to an end, after failing to impress the judges across a variety of puddings. The paediatric doctor was inspired throughout the competition by his childhood in Austria. | Channel 4 / Patch Dolan / Love Productions

4. Molly — Out
Accessibility coordinator Molly left the Bake Off tent following Bread Week. The London baker said she “knew” she would be going after struggling with underproving and some lacking flavours, but was pleased she took part in the bread-themed challenges as well as Biscuit Week. | Channel 4 / Patch Dolan / Love Productions
